Three engineering reasons:

The highest cooling efficiency among the common industrial refrigerants, in the evaporating temperature range from -18°C to -40°C.

Low operating cost: the refrigerant is inexpensive and its high efficiency reduces electricity use per tonne of goods.

No ozone depletion and no direct greenhouse effect.

In return, NH3 demands a higher standard of safety capability: leak detection sensors, emergency ventilation systems and strict operating procedures. This is the technical barrier that means not many contractors in Vietnam have mastered plant-scale NH3 systems.

What the project demonstrates about Tan Long's capability

The value Tan Long brought on this project lies in its system integration capability: calculating the cooling load, bringing equipment from several manufacturers together into one system operating as a whole, and ensuring the safety of the refrigerant system.

On other projects, Tan Long also fabricates IQF conveyor, contact plate freezers, air blast freezers, flake ice machines and evaporative condensers in-house at its plant in Duc Hoa 1 Industrial Park, Tay Ninh (formerly Long An).

Frequently Asked Questions

Which work packages did Tan Long deliver at Central Retail Vietnam?

Tan Long designed, supplied and installed the refrigeration system for Central Retail Vietnam at GO!!
